Behavioral Health Workshop: Increasing Mental Wellness in Congregations and Communities
A New, Expanded Approach

Join us for a free, one-day workshop designed to equip churches and individuals to better support mental wellness within our congregations and communities.

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Time: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Cross Keys Baptist Church
Cost: Free (Lunch provided)

The mental health crisis has been growing for decades, affecting families, churches, and communities everywhere. While many solutions have been proposed, the need for meaningful, lasting support continues to grow. After more than two years of research, Stephen Ministries St. Louis has developed a new and expanded approach to help churches make a real and lasting difference.

During this workshop, participants will learn practical ways to care for others, develop deeper empathy, and discover how congregations can play an active role in supporting those facing mental health challenges. This event will provide encouragement, insight, and tools that you, your small group, and your church can begin using right away.

Workshop Sessions Include:

  • Seven Keys to Effective Empathy

  • Introduction to Stephen Ministry

  • How Your Congregation Can Help Combat the Mental Health Crisis

  • How to Support Someone Who Is a Full-Time Caregiver

  • Caring for Those Who Are Grieving

Whether you are a church leader, ministry volunteer, caregiver, or someone who simply wants to better support others, this workshop will help you grow in compassion and practical care.

Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
